島根県 Shimane-ken

The prefecture of Shimane is located on Honshu island and the capital is Matsue. It is the second prefecture most populated in Japan and has many fantastic sites to visit.

Climate is sub tropical, in winter it snows a little and is often cloudy, summer is hot and humid but in march/april time is half and half: very humid often cloudy and rainy sometimes, when is sunny you get easily stichy and in the vening is really cold near to 2/3 degrees.

The prefectural flower is a peony grown from the 18th century in the Daikon island.
We stopped in a small town where there were many curious shops and between them a sake store. In front of the store there were three giant barrels, 1 meter high each one. Nearby there was a take away bento shop so we bought some for lunch and went outside in the main street to sit and eat. In this main street there were some curious pools shadowed by some kind of umbrellas, peolple sat there and put their feet inside to refresh while eating, drinking and chatting and as it is really a hot day the idea was really nice.
