Guess you imagine in Japan you can only find .... japanese desserts but instead is really easy to find a cake shop in which you will find every kind of pastries but not japanese ones.

The cake you will easily find and sold everywhere in Japan because is really loved, is the cream and strawberry cake (look at the foto).

This cake is common in Italy and France and is this reason that japanese fly to France to go to a patisserie school and come back to Japan with a document which certificates they are able to cook this kind of cake and believe me, they are really super ! this cake is superb, soft, creamy and always with fresh strawberries.

Another fantastic thing is that if you go to a cake shop in Japan you can buy a piece of what ever you want, you do not need to buy an entire cake like in Italy so if you for example want to visit some friends and you do not really know their tastes, you can take many kind of pastries and one or two pieces of this fantasstic strawberry cake and you'll be sure you will never be wrong.
